Roseau, Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica participated in the 73rd meeting of the OECS Authority, taking place in Basseterre, St. Kitts, from June 18-19, 2023.
Dr Terrence Drew, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis hosted the meeting and is now the Chairman of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
This gathering coincides with the observance of the 42nd anniversary of the OECS on June 18 under the theme “Vision, Integration, Sustainability, Progress.”
The opening ceremony of the 73rd OECS Authority meeting was held at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Conference Room.
Several notable persons in attendance include Dr Didacus Jules, Director-General of the OECS, Dame Marcella Liburd, Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and Members of his Cabinet, Prime Ministers and Ministers of the OECS Authority, The Right Excellent and Right Dr Sir Kennedy Simmonds, Permanent Secretaries and senior government officials, Members of the Nevis Island Administration, Members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, students and other invited guests.
Dominica Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Fisheries Roland Royer acted and fulfilled all his duties as a Prime Minister during the period June 17-19, 2023.
The Prime Minister, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, shared updates on his Twitter regarding the 73rd meeting of the OECS Authority, which is being held in Basseterre, St. Kitts, from June 18-19, 2023.

The OECS is an intergovernmental organization aiming to promote regional integration in the Eastern Caribbean. To celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the OCES, St Kitts organized several activities, including Classroom- Tour, a Panel discussion, Fun Walk.
