Dominica: The 25th edition of the World Creole Music Festival was a truly extraordinary event for the nature island. The carnival observed arrival of 10,500 visitors, with a 48% increase from last year, which is over 42,000 patrons of festival grounds.
For continuous three unforgettable nights, it was not just a weekend of music, it was a movement that powered the economy. The hotels were full, restaurants were buzzy, taxi to operators and vendors were busy island-wide. The festival success created a ripple effect, spreading the opportunities and income across every community from small death houses and bars towards larger enterprises.
Considering this, Tourism Minister Denise Charles-Pemberton said that she is proud of her team especially at the ministry, that consists of Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), Dominica’s Festival’s Commission and the A-Access Team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this success possible. She applauded the dedication, creativity and professionalism shown by her team to continuously raise the standard for tourism in Dominica.
Reportedly, this level of success is built on partnership and purpose, so sincere thanks to the Government of Dominica, the National Festivals Committee, the World Creole Music Festival Special Committee, the Police Force, DASPER, NEP Beautification Teams and the Ministry of Sports.
The Gold Sponsors, National Bank of Dominica, Tropical Shipping, other sponsors, the Operation Teams, the Media Event Organisers and most importantly the local artists, were outstanding, during these three days of event.
Denise Charles expressed gratitude to the faithful fans and friends from Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint Lucia, Antigua, and across the Caribbean underworld.
She thanked them for their loyalty and love to keep the creole spirit alive year after year as they celebrate this milestone of 25th anniversary. They are already preparing for an even bigger and better World Music Festival 2026.
Every year Dominica raises the bar for music, culture and creativity and the vibes just don’t stop here. The Tourism Minister confirmed that the Real Mas 2026 is coming back.
Get ready to return for the most authentic, colourful and vibrant carnival to experience in the Caribbean. Once again enjoy the music, nature and watch the creole culture become alive.
