Dominica held a press conference to officially launch the 25th World Creole Music Festival. The event will be observed from Oct 24 to 26, 2025 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium. It will celebrate the silver jubilee of the festival fulfilling its promises with unique blend of performances, food and cultural experiences.
Reportedly, the press conference was attended by the sponsors, organisers, artists and the media. Island Manager of the Tropical Shipping – Tahir Musgrab Robinson reaffirmed that the company’s commitment as longstanding sponsor for 25 years for the festival.
Robinson highlighted that the festival has impacted the local economy, cultural identity and tourism. She noted that the tropical shipping’s support has reflected their dedication towards developing the community and witnessed the regional growth.
Manager of Events and Festivals – Iudelli Andrew emphasised that the World Creole Music Festival has grown from local music event into an internationally recognised celebration of Creole culture.
Andrew stated that the festival is more than just a musical event, this drives economic by attracting tourists, cultural activities and by providing platforms for regional unity.
Over all these years, the festival has helped to promote the artists from Dominica by attracting the international talents, presenting the island on the global stage.
The World Creole Music Festival 2025 will follow the theme, ‘Global Echoes of Nature’, and will feature a diverse lineup of local and international performers. The festival will highlight various artists such as Tiwa Savage from Nigeria, WCK, Midnight Groovers and local stars like Ecstasy, Miel Henderson and Rio.
Each night will offer a mix of genre that will include Calypso, Buo, Zouk, Soca and Reggae. #WCMF2025 will also include several complementary events. One of them is the flavours of the World Festival on Sept 28, which will offer a culinary event with international cuisines, cultural performances and a kids’ zone.
The TTV Festival in Lau community will highlight street food, live entertainment and family-friendly activities from Sept 26 to 28, 2025 which will also include ziplining on the beach.
Dominica encourages visitors to book flights early via Caribbean Airlines, American Airlines, Sunrise Airways and other carriers. The 25th World Creole Music Festival promises a full Caribbean experience by combining music, culture, cuisine and natural beauty.
