Dominican Republic ambassador presents copy of credentials to Ethiopia Foreign Ministry

Ethiopia: On September 26, the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Demeke Atenafu, received copies of the credentials of Mr Julio Simon Castanos Zouain, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Ethiopia.

Ethiopia: On September 26, the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Demeke Atenafu, received copies of the credentials of Mr Julio Simon Castanos Zouain, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Ethiopia.

Mr Demeke Atenafu welcomed the Ambassador and expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to collaborate with the Dominican Republic in the fields of technology, trade, tourism, and culture.

He also stated that the two countries could sign MOUs or bilateral agreements in the aforementioned business areas to further strengthen their relationship.

Mr Demeke also briefed the Ambassador on the latest developments in Ethiopia, the government’s persistent peace efforts, and the African Union-led peace process regarding the conflict with the TPLF.

He also clarified the Ethiopian government’s resolve to engage in African Union-led tripartite negotiations on any unresolved concerns relating to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.

Finally, he asked the Dominican Republic to support Ethiopia’s tenacious pursuit of peace.
