South Africa: Elon musk, the SA businessman made the announcement about his new startup ‘X’ AI. The unveiling of Grok-3 chatbot will take place on Monday, Feb 17, 2025.
Musk will give a live demo of the new startup chatbot at 8:00 p.m. He described it as the ‘smartest AI on Earth’. The new model is designed and trained specifically on 100,000 Nvidia GPUs with a reported value of exceeding $4 billion and indicating a major advanced computing power.
The prime and the only member of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk mentioned that his team will work intensively over the weekend to refine the product before its official public release.
New chatbot Grok 3 is instructed on synthetic data, which is capable of reflecting on errors and correcting them too. It has been generated by going over data in order to reach the logical consistency.
World’s richest person and a top advisor to US President Donald Trump who is tasked with slashing government spending, Musk from South Africa, will be honing the product with the team all weekend, by being offline until then.

Elon Musk said that last week ‘Grok 3’ was placed in the final stages of development and would be released soon to the world in a matter of weeks.
The ‘X’ AI is seeking a competitive edge in a market, teeming with the products such as Open AI’s ChatGPT, as artificial intelligence spreads through contemporary life.
Notably, the Chinese startup – DeepSeek which was launched last month, shocked the global AI industry, with its low-cost, high-quality chatbot. It is a serious challenge to United States ambitions to lead the world in developing the technology. DeepSeek quickly overtook the ChatGPT in downloads on the Apple app-store.
Considering this, Elon Musk continuously warned all that artificial intelligence (commonly known as AI) poses a risk to human civilization. Nonetheless, he is pushing hard for a bigger slice of investment in the technological sector.
‘X’AI raised 46 billion in December, following its latest funding round from the investors that included US venture capitalists, chipmakers Nvidia and AMD. It also involved the investment funds from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, among others. It raised an initial $6 billion in May.
Furthermore, the company is now one of the world’s most valuable startups, though it was still dwarfed by the OpenAI.
Elon Musk launched the AI company in July 2023 shortly after he signed an open letter calling for a pause in the development AI models. Borad Chairman of OpenAI on Friday, Feb 14, 2025 said that it has unanimously rejected a Musk-led offer to buy the company in $97.4 billion.
