The foremost event which is still going on in Cape Town is the Kaapse Klopse Karnivaal Association’s Kaapse Klopse Competition. The event plays out to all seventeen of the associated troupes.
The troupes are the life of the party and compete against each other by showcasing a diverse range of performances that represent the vibrant Klopse culture.
The fierce competition includes Juvenile, Senior, Full Choir and Full-Troupe performances. Explore the Klopse culture as the event has already begun on Jan 06, 2024, and will culminate on Feb 03, 2024.
Visitors can visit every Saturday to Athlone Stadium by paying an entry cost ranging from R45 to R200.
Betway SA20 – Cricket League
SA20 is the newest T20 cricket league of South Africa, which began on Jan 10, 2024, and will have its final match on Feb 10, 2024.
The four-week league includes 34 matches, and features six privately owned teams franchises with 114 world-class local and global players, who play with each other twice in a round-robin stage before the playoffs and final.
MI Cape Town are the franchise based at Newlands Cricket Ground. The final match will be hosted at Newlands in the City of Cape Town.
