Zambia: The President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Andrew Kamanga has called on soccer fans of Zambia to continue to support the home team. The community is made up of football fans, who  have been extremely loyal for their team.
The members of the community shared that Chipolopolo have recently lost their match against Côte d’Ivoire. The match hosted on Thursday was a part of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group G away qualifier.
The President of Football Association of Zambia Andrew Kamanga has asked the members of the community to move past the disappointment. He said that the members of the community should not take the losses to their heart and continue to enjoy the support.
The president also claimed that the team is trying to move past the loss and increased their practice for their future. The Chipolopolo team has been one of the strongest football teams in the continent when the members of the community
Kamanga’s appeal comes as the Chipolopolo prepare to face Sierra Leone on Tuesday in their second group game. The members of the community shared that they want to extend their support for the members of the team and extended best wishes to the team for their continued success.
He emphasized that this match is an opportunity for the team to demonstrate their resilient spirit. Kamanga urged fans of the team to turn out in large numbers at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola for the next match.
He noted that the team’s defeat in the last game was highly influenced by the incredible home support of the fans of the Ivory Coast team.
Kamanga recounted that even when the match was tied at 0-0 in the second half, the Ivorian fans never stopped cheering for their team. They added that the next game in Ndola will provide an opportunity for Zambian fans to show their love for the Chipolopolo
