Botswana: First Capital Bank has donated the sum of P50,000.00 to Gaborone City Council (GCC) Choir. The officials have shared that the donation will help the team to purchase new uniforms for the teams.

The officials have shared that the members of the First Capital Bank visited the City Council where they met the Mayor of Gaborone. The City Mayor, Austin Abraham expressed his gratitude towards this generous support from First Capital Bank.
He said that the partnership between the two entities has been fruitful. He added that this support does not only promote the Arts but also unearth and nurture talent in the workplace.
The Mayor of Gaborone Austin Abraham expressed thanks to First Capital Bank for recognising the talent in the national capital. He highlighted that this will serve as a great motivation to the choir in Gaborone.
He believes that the team will now be able to enhance their presentation and pride to reflect its commitment to excellence.
Country Manager- Consumer Lending at First Capital Bank Thatayaone Matlapeng was present at the handover. He said in their generous act of community support they saw it important to donate P50 000.00 to the choir so that they present themselves in a fresh and new attire.
Furthermore, Matlapeng highlighted that it is part of their mandate to give back to the community. The donation, accordingly is also a way to show their appreciation for the arts and local talents in Gaborone.
