Botswana: First Capital Bank hosted their community-focused padel event at the First Capital Bank Sports Village. The event was hosted at the Gaborone Central Business District on Thursday. The event was attended by several social media users.

The officials have shared several images from the event on their social media account on their social media. The officials have shared that the event was attended by several members of the community to celebrate the First Capital Bank.

The event is a part of the community outreach programme for the bank, seeking to connect with the members of community and assisting

The event was also attended by several high level officials from the Gaborone City Council. The keynote address for the community-focused padel event was delivred by the Mayor of Gaborone City Council.

The Mayor Austin Abraham said the First Capital Bank’s efforts have been instrumental in making a significant impact within our community. The bank has helped in supporting the economy of the nation significantly.

The officials have shared that they want to honor and appreciate the bank and its stakeholders for their contribution to the nation and its people.

The City Mayor said the bank’s commitment in supporting communities, local businesses and organisations is not just a corporate strategy. He claimed that it was also testament to their dedication to the growth and development of Gaborone City.

Mayor Austin Abraham stressed that the bank’s initiatives have been a beacon of hope for many. It has  been providing a much needed financial support and resources to those in need.

He said Gaborone City Choir are some those who can attest as they recently received the amount of fifty thousand pula (P50 000) as a donation to purchase uniform.

Reinette Van Der Merwe, Chief Executive Officer of First Capital Bank said the highlight of this event was to launch the innovative FCB Tap product.

Van Der Merwe said the Soft POS solution enables any android device equipped with NFC capability to serve as a secure, contactless payment terminal.

She added that this feature presents an excellent opportunity for small business (vendors, home businesses, taxis, fast-foods, markets, etc) to enhance their operations.
