St Kitts: The Leaders of St Kitts are excited to welcome the largest cruise ship in the world, Icon of the Seas, to their shores. The ship will dock at Port Zante at 6:00 AM today, January 30.
With only hours to go for the welcome ceremony to begin, the Prime Minister of the country is extremely excited. Dr Terrance Drew shared a post on his social media announcing the arrival of the much-anticipated cruise vessel.
The ship is embarking on its inaugural trip of the Caribbean Region and St Kitts has the honour of being the vessel’s first stop. The Ministry of Tourism is extremely excited to welcome the cruise vessel and experience the history being made.
The Ministry of Tourism in the Terrance Drew led administration will welcome the cruise and its passengers with “A taste of St Kitts”. As a part of the event, the passengers will get to experience the popular cuisine of the island, with its remarkable music and cultural showcase.
The people of St Kitts and Nevis are extremely excited to welcome the passengers of the largest cruise ship in the world. The locals and artists will present them with the best of Kittitian hospitality, including mouthwatering food, remarkable music, and cultural performances.
The arrival of the cruise ship will give the tourism sector of the country a significant boost. The historic move will bring the smallest island nation in the Western Hemisphere to the top of many travellers’ bucket lists.
The Minister of Tourism, Marsha Henderson has accordingly expressed her delight on welcoming the “icon of the Seas”. She expressed that the people of St Kitts can’t wait to welcome the cruise to the island and have rolled out the red carpet for the welcome.
The welcome event will be hosted at the National Museum Apron in Port Zante St Kitts. It will have all the members of the island’s administration, including PM Terrance Drew in attendance.
