Nigeria: The Ijaw Wari Worldwide strongly condemns the Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area, Onegiyeofori George. He was criticized for his failed attempt to disrupt the meeting of the Concerned ASALGA Patriots.
The Concerned ASLGA Patriots is a support group of the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, in Buguma. They were meeting last Thursday, but the get-together was blocked by the order of the ASALGA executive chairman.
According to the condemners, the act was aimed at pleasing the immediate past Governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the organization calls the act barbaric, draconian and undemocratic.
They claimed that Chairman Onengiyeofori George demonstrated a high level of irresponsibility and ineptitude by such an act. Therefore, Ijaw Wari Worldwide called him unqualified to man such an exalted position of Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Council.
The organization claimed: “Over the years, Onegiyeofori George has shown himself dishonest and incompetent in the discharge of the responsibilities of the office of local government chairman.”
The organization says it is not surprising that he has not recorded any developmental stride worth showing in almost three years in office. They asserted that the tenure has turned out to be a monumental waste to the people of Asari Toru Local Government Area.
The Ijaw Wari Worldwide extended their support to Concerned ASALGA Patriots and condemned the actions of Onegiyeofori George. He is working against the supporters of Governor Siminalayi Fubara through the denial of rights and privileges within and outside the Council administration.
The organization has challenged Onegiyeofori George to be manly enough to come all out against the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS and his supporters in the ASALGA.
We call on the security agencies to subject the Council Chairman to questions concerning the explosion which occurred at the venue of the meeting of the Concerned ASALGA Patroits in Buguma last Thursday.
Onegiyeofori George has failed the people of ASALGA with his brick and mortar administration without dividends. His unfruitful tenure should be so condemned by all the good people of ASALGA.
