Zambia: Joseph Kalimbwe – the Zambian Politician and public figure, targeted the Westerners again and shared a post of Oysters.

While sharing the picture he wrote on his official social media handle that the Oysters are the insects from the Ocean and people call it Sea Food.

Considering the same the post reads, “These are Oysters, it’s insects from the Ocean called Sea Food, introduced to Africans by Westerners.”

Additionally, he wrote, “Africans eat these insects with pride and even laugh at those who have never eaten them before at Cape Town Fish Market.”

He also mentioned the fact that when locals of Africa eat frogs, people call them by different names.

“When we eat frogs, the same Africans want to call us names!!” said Joseph Kalimbwe.

After the sharing of the post citizens of Africa commented and responded on the culture of the native and the foreigners.

An entrepreneur Tinashe Ali wrote, “They eat frogs and snails in Europe”. To which a person from Cape Town, Innocent Kawuyeza wrote, “Tinashe Ali in Zimbabwe in Chipinge bro, some they eat, delicious.”

Another Entrepreneur and former politician Nicolas Andrew Masawi wrote, “Better enjoy African than whatever was brought to us.”

A digital creator Forget Washaya wrote, “They ate those out of pain and hunger in torrid sea life. Not because African mainland was hungry. It was miles to get to Africa. Here in Africa, we eat meat and wild fruits and it has kept us going for centuries.”

A user of social media, Paul Kasu wrote, “But this is also African food, those countries in the coastal region eat these, where there before westerners come. Anyway, food is food, for I never eat frogs but there are people I know who eat them.”

Earlier, Kalimbwe shared a fact related to frogs being eaten by the people of Southern Africa. The post was shared by him with the thought of increasing awareness among local people that also supports the traditionally followed culture of eating frogs.
