Botswana: The Serowe District Council Chairman Keneilwe Monageng accompanied his team to a social forum at Mogorosi and Motshegaletau. The event was organized by the district council for people living with disabilities.

The people of the Serowe district attended the social forum in large numbers to support the initiative of the council. Meanwhile, Chairman Keneilwe Monageng was also happy to take a step towards promoting inclusivity and unity.
The Chairman intended to provide a platform that would allow the youth and people living with disability the freedom to express their challenges. The district council chairman wanted to make sure that the participants could understand and help each other.
The forum was a step towards ensuring that the people of the district are sensitized to the challenges faced by others in society. The Chairman encouraged the people of the country to talk to each other during the forum.
Through the engagement, they can work on coming up with solutions on how best some of the issues raised could be rectified. At the same time, the social forum was aimed at finding lasting solutions that would possibly improve their lives.
The interactive sessions are a start for the Chairman’s roadmap as he intends to extend to cover all 14 villages within the Serowe District.
