She also advised youth to consume audiovisual content responsibly and parents to be aware of the audiovisual content that children access on the Internet and other broadcast channels and guide them appropriately.

Additionally, Public sensitization is one of the Board’s channels of realizing its consumer advisory function, in line with our Stakeholder Engagement Policy, as well as our Strategic Plan (2022-2027) and PC targets for the FY 2023/2024.

Institutions of learning from the ECD to the university level are among the Board’s key stakeholders in our Media Literacy Programme dubbed: You Are What You Consume, aimed at creating awareness on the responsible consumption of audiovisual content.

The KFCB is keen on working with stakeholders on programmes and initiatives geared towards identifying and nurturing youths’ talent and creating a facilitative regulatory environment for creatives to showcase and monetize their talents in line with the Talata Hela Initiative being championed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports as well as the Fifth Pillar of the Bottom Up- Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
