Kenya: Moi International Airport of Kenya has been recognised as the Best Airport in Africa by the Airports Council International (ACI World). It is a prestigious honour that marks the third consecutive year, where the Moi International Airport has received the recognition.
The recognition is a part of the ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey, which acknowledges airports that consistently delivers the exceptional services and provides outstanding experience to the passengers.
Moi International Airport of Kenya has been recognised as the Best Airport by size and region in the Under 2 million Passenger per year category for Africa, last year in 2023.
It further highlights the commitment of the airport to excellence in its operations and customer service.
Considering the achievement, the Managing Director of Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) – Henry Ogoye has expressed, “I am happy and filled with immense pride and joy for this phenomenal achievement of Moi International Airport.”
“Winning the 2023 Best Airport Award for size and region from Airports Council International is not just an honour but also a testament to our unwavering dedication to excellence in customer service,” said Director Henry Ogoye.
He added, “This accolade reaffirms our commitment to provide exceptional experiences to all our passengers and serves as an inspiration for us to continue elevate the standards and ensure that MIA remains the leader in its category.”
ACI World Director General – Lui Felipe de Oliveira also greeted and extended his congratulations to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) for establishing a globally recognised standard in airport services.
Director general Oliveira said, “Congratulations to the whole team at Moi International Airport in Mombasa on their success in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards.”
Director General Oliveira further added that the dedication to excellence in customer experience sets a benchmark for airports worldwide! Keep setting the bar high.
Moreover, KAA noted that since its inception in 2006, the ASQ program has solidified its reputation as the leading airport passenger satisfaction benchmark with the participation from more than 400 airports in 109 countries.
