Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis Minister of Public Infrastructure and Utilities, Mr Cromwell Williams, Information Communication Technology, Transport and Post, Konris Maynard, and the Water Manager and Engineer of the St. Kitts Water Services Department are representing St Kitts in the Bahamas for the Caribbean Water & Wastewater Association (CWWA) 31st Annual Conference and Exhibition.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis Minister of Public Infrastructure and Utilities, Mr Cromwell Williams, Information Communication Technology, Transport and Post, Konris Maynard, and the Water Manager and Engineer of the St. Kitts Water Services Department are representing St Kitts in the Bahamas for the Caribbean Water & Wastewater Association (CWWA) 31st Annual Conference and Exhibition.

And on the other hand, Mr Clyde Maynard, Ms Santonnya Mills, Manager at the Nevis Water Department and Technical Officer at the Nevis Water Department, are representing the Nevis Island Administration (NIA).

According to Konris Maynard, the aim of this is to the ways that how one can deal with the challenges faced by us with the water supply and at the same time, she also shared the ways how one can restore the 24-hour water supply.

Minister added, “I will participate in the Ministerial High-Level Forum (HLF), a meeting of Caribbean Water Ministers. In that HLF meeting, Ministers will have the opportunity in which they directly can share their experiences and ideas on water issues and how people are affected in the region and individual countries in pursuit of the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Furthermore, he added, “My participation in this conference is funded by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).”

Moreover, in this conference, St. Kitts and Nevis representatives will get the opportunity to interact with famous industry leaders and professionals, policymakers, contractors, engineers and regional & international financial institutions and share experiences and ideas in addressing water issues affecting individual countries and the region on the whole.

The HLF is an unmatched regional event, being the only meeting of Caribbean Water Ministers to date.

The HLF is a joint industry of the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) and its partner, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), which began in 2005 as a session within the CWWA’s Annual Conference and Exhibition.
