St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, attended the 72nd meeting of the OECS authority, which was held in Montserrat.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew addressed the nation at the opening ceremony of the OECS meeting, in which he highlighted the various challenges faced by leaders worldwide in recent times.
Yesterday, he shared a picture on his official Facebook account with a note stating: “I am still here in Montserrat on the final day of the 72nd Meeting of the OECS Authority.”
Furthermore, he also mentioned that he attended a variety of Caucus Plenary Sessions on regional integration matters, particularly around enhanced cooperation and issues of information related to reports of various councils and assemblies.
With the OECS meeting, he also took part in a zoom meeting last evening with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau and the other heads of government continuing ongoing talks and seeking solutions to the issues faced by Haiti.
Prime Minister attended the OECS Wednesday meeting with Ms Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and Mr Samuel Berridge, Senior Assistant Secretary, Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Moreover, PM Terrance Drew also met with Grenada Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell with colleague leaders and Premier of the British Virgin Islands, Dr Natalio Wheatley.
All three leaders delivered maiden addresses at the 72nd Meeting of the OECS Authority currently underway in Montserrat.
