The Nigerian Hitmaker Rema and the Dancehall artist Sean Paul are nominated for Best Crossover Artist of the Year at the Latin American Music Awards 2024. The official announcement for the nominations was made on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
As per the latest reports from the sources, the nominations for the year 2024 are based on fan interactions across the streaming, sales, radio airplay, touring and the data collected from social media interaction which were provided by Billboard and Luminate during the eligibility period from Feb 11, 2023 to Feb 24, 2024.
Other nominees considered in the same category for Best Crossover Artist of the Year included Maroon-5 frontman Adam Levine, David Guetta, DJ Khaled, Drake, Marshmello and Usher.
Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) is an annual American music awards show which is produced by TelevisaUnivision. The award function is the Spanish language counterpart of the American Music Awards (AMAs).

In both, AMAs and the Latin AMAs, the polling is determined by the public and music buyers and is produced by SOMOS Productions.
Reportedly, the first Latin AMAs was introduced on October 08, 2015 on Telemundo and was hosted by Lucero.
This year, the Latin AMAs 2024 will be held on April 25, 2024 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The award show will air on Univision at 7:00 p.m. It will also be aired on UNIMAS y Galavision and will also be available on ViX.
The theme for this year’s Latin American Music Awards 2024 is “We Speak Musica.” The award function will be hosted by the Pop legend Thalia, actor and presenter Alejandra Espinoza and singer-songwriter and television personality Carlos Ponce.
Several artists have been nominated and were considered for the different music categories, such as Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Collaboration Crossover of the Year, Best Crossover Artist, Best Streaming Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, Global Latin Artist of the Year and Global Latin song of the Year.
The Music Awards also consider the categories such as Best Duo or Group (pop), Best Artist (pop), Best Album (pop), Best Song (pop), Best Artist (urban), Best Album (urban), Best Song (urban), Best Collaboration (urban), Best Artist (regional Mexican), Best duo or group (regional Mexican), Best Album (regional Mexican), Best song (regional Mexican), Best Collaboration (regional Mexican), Best Artist (tropical), Best Song (tropical) and Best Collaboration (tropical).
