South Africa: Limpopo Government will join the rest of the Netball Community in welcoming the Netball World Cup Trophy, which will touch down in the province at Maruleng Municipality in Mopani District on the 08th of June 2023.
The trophy will then tour all five districts starting with Mopani. The well thought plan of activations will afford the citizens of the province an opportunity to view and appreciate the trophy.
After collecting the trophy from Mpumalanga Province, the Limpopo entourage will proceed to Mahlakung Mall for activations. On the 09th of June 2023, the trophy tour will start at Ba-Phalaborwa and then proceed to Greater Giyani Municipality Masingita Mall.
On the 10th of June, the entourage will proceed to Vhembe District and Thulamela Municipal Chambers, respectively, and then proceed to Azwifarwi Secondary. On day three, on the 11th of June, the trophy tour will take place in Molemole Municipality-Botlokwa Special School, followed by Jack Botes Park in Polokwane then proceed to Lebowakgomo Mall in the Lepelle-Nkumpi Municipality.
The Sekhukhune District Trophy tour will start on the 12th of June 2023 at Fetakgomo Tubatse, followed by Makhuduthamaga, proceed to Ephraim Mogale, Ndlovu Sports Centre, then continue to Sekhukhune District Municipal Chamber.
The provincial tour will conclude in Waterberg District on the 13th of June, starting with Mokopane Comprehensive School in Mogalakwena Municipality at then continuing to Bela- Bela Mall.
The Vitality Netball World Cup 2023 (VNWC2023) is the first Netball World Cup ever to be held on the African continent and in South Africa. The much-anticipated World Cup will take place from the 28th of July to the 6th of August 2023 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The VNWC2023 has always been considered as being more than just about the city of Cape Town and instead one for all of Africa to share, with four of the 16 competing African nations: South Africa, Malawi, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
