Zambia: Lusaka Province Minister Sheal Mulyata says the province has underscored several achievements, citing the attainment of zero audit queries as one of the best achievements for the year.
Mulyata notes that it was not easy to attain zero audit queries as Lusaka Provincial administration as there are a lot of challenges to overcome and achieving this is a milestone for the department and therefore expressed pride in the accomplishment.
She further notes that the province had fully utilised the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) adding that all the money allocated was spent for the intended purpose among other achievements.
Mulyata was speaking in a speech read on her behalf by Provincial Permanent Secretary, Robert Kamalata during the end of the year thanksgiving all together and prayers, organised for workers under the Lusaka Provincial Administration.
This achievement reflects the financial accountability and stability of the department and also showcases a dedication toward working ethics and administration.
Mulyata also urged civil servants in the Province to endeavour to make their offices a conducive working place.
Mulyata took the opportunity the remind that the provincial administration should celebrate the new year responsibly, this responsible celebration aligns with the confined commitment to maintain discipline in work ethics.
She noted that workers spend much of their time at places of work therefore it was important to enjoy the time spent at the office.
“We spend our time mostly here and there is no need to be bitter in our offices,” she stated.
Mulyata further thanked the officers for the hard work exhibited during the year 2023 and was hopeful that the year 2024 will record more success stories.
Meanwhile, the Minister urged members of staff to celebrate New Year responsibly as it serves as a testament to the dedication of the provincial administration and sets a positive tone for the upcoming year.
