Reportedly, the Wesgro officials announced that the India’s largest retailer, the Reliance Retail is now proudly stocking up the Made In The Cape products. It is happening for the first time that the South African goods have been placed on shelves at reliance Freshpic and GoFresh Mumbai. It is a big thing as it is the first time for Africa too to be a part of these stores.
As per the sources, these products will feature Rooibos Tea, Dried Fruit, Spices and Sauces. All these products will be displayed for one whole month across the flagship Feshpik Powai, FreshPik JWD, and GoFresh Andheri Stores.
This milestone partnership follows participation of Reliance in the Made In The Cape Buyers’ Programme, hosted by Wesgro, earlier this year. This association represents a powerful step in unlocking new markets for Western Cape exporters with India offering a significant long-term potential.
It is a great time for avid shoppers to look forward to live cooking demos this coming weekend. These will be showcased by the renowned local chefs and will be supported by the top influencers to display how Cape products can be reimagined for Indian Cuisine.
