South Africa: Free State Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae led a comprehensive service delivery program in Hlohlolwane, Clocolan. The Ruang Tsebo School Hall in Hlohlolwane served as the venue for the service delivery intiative
This program was organized in collaboration with the various government departments and the private sector. Further, the premier of Free State recounted the promises of the 7th Administration under her leadership
It was recalled that the Premier pledged to improve accessibility to government services for communities. She acknowledged that many government offices are located far from where people live.
The integrated service delivery program which was taken up on Friday brought several services to Clocolan and surrounding towns. The programme is a proof of the Premier’s commitment to bringing services closer to the people.
The urgent need for these services was evident for the people of the community. Several membrss of the community reached out to the venue to take advantage of the program and engage with government representatives.
A diverse array of mobile government services was made available to the community at Ruang Tsebo School Hall in Hlohlolwane.
Premier Letsoha-Mathae delivered a brief address at the event. She highlighted that the visit was focused on delivering on promises rather than lengthy speeches. She was accompanying the MEC for Health Monyatso Mahlatsi and MEC for Community Safety, Roads, and Transport Jabu Mbalula.
The Premier acknowledged that the residents faced several issues due to the lack of government offices. The city did not have offices such as Home Affairs and SASSA in Hlohlolwane. She also announced that she is committed to enhancing healthcare services in the city.
According to her, “Our goal is to professionalize health institutions, ensuring they are safe and welcoming environments where people can feel cared for even before seeing a doctor.”
Premier Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae also discussed about the upcoming road projects in Setsotso Municipality. She said that the project will create more jobs for the youth and support local economic development. She urged government officials to serve the community with respect, dignity, and empathy.
