Premier MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae delivered a brief address at the funeral service of the respected educator. She paid her tribute to the educator and shared the details regarding the arrest and aftermath of the murder case investigation.

She highlighted that Sejakane had a penchant for going after successful career women. He will appear in front of the court for his bail hearing during this week.

The Premier informed the people that educator was not the only victim of the murder accused

“Mpho was not the only victim. I met another woman recently in court who told me that she is a professional nurse. The woman said the suspect used to assault her and would drag her to work naked. That is the nature of that man. He was not willing to work and instead went after successful women who had made a life for themselves,” said Premier Letsoha-Mathae.

The vicious way which Sejakane allegedly killed Moalusi was a sign that he was a raging psychopath with no regard for human life. He allegedly ran Moalusi over with a car several times, cracking her skull in the process.

“He is a monster because no human being could do such a horrible thing to another, ” she said.

Toxic patriarchy must be uprooted from society to prevent similar occurrences in the future, said the Premier.

“The untimely passing of Mpho, serves as a complete and painful reminder of the harsh realities faced by countless individuals who are subjected to violence, discrimination, and injustice simply because of their gender.”

Tears fell freely as speakers spoke about “the ever smiling” Moalusi.

Former Premier of the Free State province Sefora Ntombela,  whose foundation, Sefora Ntombela Foundations, has been vocal about the recent spate of women killings, and the MEC for Community Safety, Roads and Transport Jabu Mbalula joined mourners to bid a final farewell to Moalusi.
