South Africa: The leadership of the UThukela District Municipality is led by the Mayor Inkosi NB Shabalala, Cllr Chairperson for Water and Sanitation Portfolio CllrMM Khoza, Manager in the Office of the Mayor Mr OS Mnguni, and Cllr SV Shabalala visited the Apostolic Church in St Chad’s with the aim of donating chairs to the church.
Mayor Shabalala donated about 60 chairs to this church. This comes after one of its leaders in the Ministry, Pastor Nhlangothi, came to the Mayor’s office to ask for help as they did not have enough seats.
Pastor Dlala assured the Mayor that they would pray for the leaders of the UThukela District Municipality in this difficult situation they are currently facing in relation to service delivery challenges.
The Mayor made an appeal to the communities to be patient as they are trying to find a solution to the problems.
He promised the public that the problem would be resolved as soon as possible since they had appointed a task team to investigate the cause of the problem. Finally, the Mayor urged the public to report those who deliberately blow up water pipes to achieve their goals.
