South Africa: The Free State MEC for Health, Monyatso Mahlatsi visited the Pharmacy at Universitas Academic Hospital. The MEC had not informed any authorities about his visit.

The visit to the pharmacy also sought to ensure that the work is up to par with the standards of the province. The members of the province have applauded the member of the Executive Council for Health for his visit.
The visit showcases the leaders commitment to ensuring safe and speedy access to medicine for community members. The members of the community have been asking for better pharmaceutical services in the province.
The Member of the Executive Council for Health in the Free state had announced a meeting at Universitas. However, before this meeting, he made a surprising detour into the Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Manager, Zelda Loots gave him a warm welcome into the building.
MEC Monyatso Mahlatsi and Manager Loots discussed several important issues.
The Pharmacy Manager informed the MEC that they are working hard to make sure that the people do not have to wait for long to get medicines. The long wait times have been a cause of concern for the people.
As such, the pharmacy manager said that they are making efforts to ensure that the people of the communities can get easy access to facilities.
The MEC said that he was satisfied with the plans of the Pharmacy Manager Loots are responsive to all needs of patients. The officials said that the plans are beneficial to the people who come from far away towns as well as those who come from Bloemfontein.
