Cape Town: Robbie William and the world-renowned rock band Green Day are ready to stun the Mother City at Calabash 2025. The pop sensations along with a stellar line-up of local artists will take to the stage for two days of electrifying music.
The City of Cape Town is thrilled to support the second edition of Calabash South Africa taking place on January 22 and 23, 2025 at DHL Stadium.
Calabash South Africa is an annual event that has established itself as the ultimate international music festival. The fest is known for its diverse line-up that covers genres from pop and rock to electronic and local South African music.
As Calabash South Africa brings together the biggest artists from across the globe to perform in Cape Town over two days. Last year, in 2024 the fest hot off the heels of its inaugural event in Johannesburg with the likes of Maroon 5 and Meduza.
And this year too, the biggest music festival of Mzansi is returning to the shores and will occupy the whole DHL Stadium. The eve will be kicked off y the sensational Robbie Williams with the headline act.
Robbie Williams has an impressive track record, such as six of the Top 100 best-selling albums in British history, also a staggering 80 million album sales worldwide and an incredible 14 number 1 singles to his name.
The Robster, combined with the talents of GoodLuck, Matthew Mole and Lee Cole promises an electrifying night of music and memories. Day two is also set to create history as the Grammy-winning trio rock band Green Day will perform their debut on South African soil featuring anthem hits like ‘Basket Case’ and ‘American Idiot’. The band has set a three-decade legacy.
The music band will be joined by the infectious energy of punk rock icons ‘The Offspring’ and homegrown heroes ‘Fokofpolisiekar’.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for Safety and Security – Alderman JP Smith stated that the Mother City is in for an incredible treat as they prepare to welcome some of the world’s most celebrated artists to the shores.
Smith is devoted to ensure the safety of pedestrians and concert-goers as few roads surrounding DHL Stadium will be closed.
The City of Cape Town urged motorists to plant their routes in advance or to steer clear of affected areas that will be closed or congested on event day. “We look forward to welcome everyone to this historic rock n’ roll event, ensuring a safe and memorable experience for all,” confirmed JP Smith.
