Mpumalanga: Niandi Coetzee has been declared the 2023 Overall Best Learner following her outstanding performance in the 2023 National Senior Certificate Examinations.
As proof and evidence that hard work pays, Niandi Coetzee smartest learner in the province, was awarded a brand new car on top of other tokens of appreciation, namely a laptop and twelve months of connectivity, a tablet, power bank, router, breakfast pack, iron, bedding, a bar fridge as well as cash money.
Niandi hails from Hoerskool Nelspruit and obtained six distinctions with an average pass rate of 93,8%, making her 2023 Grade 12 overall best learner in the Province.
MEC Majuba officiated the handover of the car as a celebration of her academic excellence and a token of appreciation for the outstanding achievement of the province’s brightest mind.
“Niandi’s success story extends a powerful message to all aspiring learners that hard work, dedication, and a thirst for knowledge can unlock your full potential.
Inspired by her example, we wish that all our learners in schools and in all grades can instil in them the desire to excel in everything that they do at all levels of their lives.
Our children and learners need to be mindful that, Niandi was not born a champion; she perfected her skills through consistent effort, sacrifice and hard work,” said MEC Majuba.
Niandi’s pursuit of excellence sets a shining example for all of us, hence we are here to celebrate her and her success.
Niandi intends to study Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Sciences at the University of Pretoria. Her great achievement is a prime example of excellence and inspiration to emulate greatness.
The Mpumalanga Department of Education wishes her well with her studies and any future endeavours.
