Zambia The government of Zambia has rolled out a new currency for the nation, with new bank notes and coins. The new currency will become legal tender in the country starting on March 31.

A mobile money super dealer in Kafue District has also come forward to caution the Kafue residents. He stated that they have to remain vigilant with counterfeit notes amidst new currency rollouts.
Wilson Muntali has shared that as the Bank of Zambia introduces new banknotes into circulation, Kafue residents should be on high alert for counterfeit notes. They have to constantly look out for all security features that can distinguish fake notes from real.

Speaking to the members of the media in Kafau, Muntali highlighted the importance of verifying the authenticity of banknotes, particularly when conducting transactions.
“As we are expecting new bank notes today, I will urge the members of the public to be alert, especially with the features. The coming of new currency will also come with fraudulent activities,” cautioned Muntali.
