Botswana: The Prime Minister of Bahamas, Philip E Davis has left from Botswana after a successful 6 day visit. The prime Minister landed in Botswana on Monday March 18 and visited a number of institutions with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
The Prime Minister departed from Botswana on Saturday Afternoon. The two countries discussed several issues of importance to the two nations. The discussions were done on economy, agriculture and other important issues of national and international importance
The two nations have shared a strong and deep bonds with one another and established their diplomatic relations in 2006. The President of the country has shared some glimpses from the farewell ceremony of the Prime Minister.
The two leaders of Botswana and Bahamas expressed satisfaction for the strong bonds of friendship, solidarity and cordial relations. The world leaders also expressed the desire and commitment to work closely together to further deepen and enhance bilateral cooperation between their two countries.
The Prime Minister of Bahamas led a delegation of high level ministers and government officials who helped make PM Philp’s trip into a resounding success.
During his stay in Botswana, Prime Minister Davis visited and toured the Bank of Botswana. The Minister of Finance took the opportunity to share his commitment to mutual economic growth. The Prime Minister also delivered a speech on “Bridging Waters, Uniting Dreams: A New Financial Era for Africa and the”.
During the visit, Prime Minister Philp E Davis visited the Botswana Digital Innovation Hub; and the Diamond Trading Company Botswana. He took the opportunity to appreciate the facilities and activities of the institutions.
He also visited and toured the Citrus Project in Selibe Phikwe. The President of the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science, Dr Raveenia Roberts-Hanna, delivered a lecture on Climate Change and Agriculture in The Bahamas: A New Paradigm, at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, on behalf of Prime Minister Davis.
