He further talked about the COVID-19 pandemic and said, “We’ve had a chance to look at our habits and priorities over the almost past two years while underlining the calamities caused by COVID-19.

The pandemic may have taken its toll, but Christmas has allowed us to bring out the best in ourselves.” As a responsible government, we have made significant changes. We as a government give priority to life while also providing financial assistance to our citizens and residents. “We have also enlarged alleviation programme, as well as expanded income assistance to the most disadvantaged members of society.”

Public employees and retirees have also received a pay raise. Despite facing all the challenges, our nation is still at peace, and we are also putting efforts to bring goodwill in every sector like society and country.

For the citizens of St Kitts and Nevis, a festival of Christmas plays a crucial role in their lives as it brings happiness and joy and more celebrations into their lives and some people believe starting their lives from this day is very lucky for them.

So on the occasion of Christmas, we’re providing double salary in honour of the government employees who worked tirelessly to ensure the delivery of essential services. He further said that the payment of double salaries had boosted economic activity.

At the end of the speech, he said, God sent his Son into the world to teach people the importance of love, hope, and salvation. As PM of this nation,” I ensure and promise my people that I will serve them a brighter, safer, and more prosperous 2022 and shower their love and hope to every citizen.
