Saint Lucia: The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre attended the opening ceremony of the Bideau Park Vending Hut Facility in Castries. The opening of the vending huts will help the members of the business fraternity to do their businesses with more ease and flexibility.

The vendors who conduct their businesses in disorganized manner, will be extremely happy to receive a vending hut. The Prime Minister and Minister of Finance has been working towards upgrading and transforming the city for the better.

Talking about the new structure, PM Pierre reflected on how crucial it was for the government to construct this building. He said that he was disturbed by the way that the people had been forced to earn a living.

He clarified that they did not have a problem with people trying to earn a living as vendors in the community. However, even the vendors needed a better place than what was available for them.

The Saint Lucia administration asserted that they had the right to earn a living from surroundings that are dignified and fit for business. Accordingly, the construction of the new vending hut was extremely crucial.

PM Pierre shared the specifications of the Bideau Park Vending Hut Facility. According to him, the vending hut compromises of twenty-two booths for the vendors to conduct their business.

The Prime Miniter was proud to announce that the vendors will now have upgraded spaces to earn a living. Accordingly, they can work hard and contribute to the development of our economy.

The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre who represents Castries East constituency in the house of Assembly, remains committed to the development of the city. He highlighted that his administration is on the mission to help the members of the business fraternity flourish alongside their business.

Prime Minister Philip J Pierre added that they will continue to meet and interact with the vendors operating in Castries. They also want to continue to remain in touch with business and property owners of the city so that the government can continue to support them with relevant initiatives.
