Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit commemorated the International Women‘s Day. The women of the country were celebrated on Saturday with a series of events in the various communities.
The Prime Minister of Dominica shared that the theme for the International Women’s Day was hosted with the theme: the theme “Accelerate Action.” He added that through the day, they wanted to celebrate strength, leadership and achievements of the women of Dominica.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the contributions that the women in the country made for the development of the country. The women of Dominica, in the government, in the leadership, cabinet, have done many efforts for the good of the country.
The Prime Minister said that the country has been thriving due to the contribution of the women in the country. The leader of the nation has said that the women have made invaluable contributions across the various sectors of the country.
Roosevelt Skerrit highlighted that the nation and the administration is grateful for the resilience and dedication of the women. The officials have shared that it is important for the administration to work with the female population.
The government has shared that it was important for the people to honor the hardwork and dedication of the women in the country. PM Skerrit shared that they are proud of the women who have helped in highlighting Dominica in front of the rest of the world.
The Prime Minister noted that the journey has only just begun when it comes to supporting women. They have to make sincere efforts to create more opportunities for women.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged that they have push forward with vigor to remove barriers in the path of women’s empowerment. The government must support the women and girls in the country as they fulfilled their potential.
