Dominica: The Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit recently met the newly appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Commonwealth of Dominica. The Prime Minister welcomed the Ambassador Cornelis Hersbach to his new station on Monday.
PM Skerrit took to his social media to share some glimpses from his meting with the new ambassador. The ambassador of Netherlands has presented his credentials to the President of Dominica, Sylvanie Burton.
The presentation of the credentials was done on Monday. At this point, President Burton gave the ambassador a warm welcome into the commonwealth of Dominica. PM Skerrit and Ambassador Cornelis Hersbach discussed various issues of mutual interest for Dominica and Netherlands.
The Prime Minister has extended his gratitude to the Ambassador for the support that the Kingdom of Netherlands has extended to Dominica. The PM recalled the support that the nation provided following the affects of the Tropical Storm Erika and Hurricane Maria.
The international support that Dominica received from the international community after the natural disasters  has ben insurmountable. The nation is proud of the international relationships that they have forged over the years.

The leaders have shared that they have reaffirmed the commitment of the two nations towards their mutual protection. The two nations are committed to improving their relationship with one another as they continue working towards common goals of prosperity.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the meeting was also attended by Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, Dr. Irving McIntyre and Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Missi Henderson.
They extended best wishes to the Ambassador of Netherlands for a successful tenure in his new role. They hope that the collaborations will help both the nations significantly.
