St Kitts: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew recently visited the Cayon High school with the Deputy Prime Minister Geoffery Hanley. Dr Hanley is the Minister of Education in the government of St Kitts and Nevis.
The officials have shared that the administration has ben working hard to get the high school ready for the next session. The Prime Minister, Dr Terrance drew is the parliamentary representative of the constituency. As such, it falls under his mandate to keep track of the developments in the community.
Currently, the school is going through a series of upgrades and renovation in anticipation of the new school session according to the authorities. The purpose of the walkthrough was for the two leaders to check on the progress of the school’s renovation.
The leaders have shared that the renovation project on the Cayon High School will continue till the official opening of the school. The new school session is all set to begin on September 2. The Prime Minister shared the details of the renovation work.
According to the Prime Minister, they have invested hundreds of thousands dollars to replace the doors and widows in the school. He shared several images from his visit to the school alongside his depuy.
In the update, PM Drew also highlighted that they have taken the steps to rid the school of mold, which can be injurious to students health, in the event of prolonged exposure.
The administration has bought new furniture for the use of both the students and the teachers of the students. The officials have shared that the members of the community are happy with the development.
The Prime Minister shared that This is the largest sum invested at any one time at the Cayon High School in over a decade. He also confirmed that his administration will continue to make investments in the nation.
The people of the nation appreciated the Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew and Deputy Prime Minister for their work. The other commentors said, this was a long awaited upgrade.
