St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, met the International Affairs Coordinator from the Chamber of Crafts, Flensburg, Germany. The meeting was hosted during the latter’s trip to St Kitts and Nevis.
During the trip, Celina Niehoff paid a courtesy call to the leader of St Kitts and Nevis on Thursday. As per the update shared by the Prime Minister, they spoke about several important topics of discussion.
The International Affairs Coordinator from the Chamber of Crafts spoke of the development of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training. During her visit to St Kitts and Nevis, Niehoff hosted a seminar highlighting the vocational training and education opportunities that Germany offers.
The seminar was hosted at the Advanced Vocational Education Centre and the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (AVEC/CFBC). The German representative also talked about the expert exchange programme scheduled to start in November 2024.
The Prime Minister of the country was delighted with the success of the TVET seminar and congratulated Celina Niehoff for the same. During the courtesy call, Prime Minister Drew noted that the seminar is an important step towards giving the students access to better vocational education.
He was also happy with the development of international relations that would benefit the country’s people. The Prime Minister shared that, with their collaboration with Germany, St Kitts and Nevis can improve their educational initiatives greatly.
The teachers and students can develop their capabilities through collaboration with Germany. The Prime Minister shared some images from the event on his social media.
He also extended his best wishes to the students who received scholarships from Journey to pursue their further education. The two recipients of the scholarships are Rodison Jeffers from Nevis and Dillon Simmonds from St Kitts.

Glenroy Blanchette, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, and Dr. Kertney Thompson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Council.
