St Kitts: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Terrance Drew has shared his delight on the success of the 2023 Sugar Mas. According to him, The 52nd edition of the Sugar Mas was the safest Christmas and carnival celebration.

The country has been hosting carnival celebrations for over fifty years. The people of the country have been coming together to celebrate the culture and traditions along with the festive season in the year end carnival.

The Prime Minister of the country appreciated the support of the people of the country in making the 2023 Christmas and Carnival celebration successful. The prime minister shared some images from the celebration.

The Christmas-themed carnival celebration was celebrated for more than two weeks and hosted several events, glorifying the traditions and culture of the island nation. The carnival included events such as the SOCA and Calypso events for all sections of the Kittitian and Nevisian Communities.

The prime minister of the country shared that he was proud of the people of St Kitts and Nevis for their conduct. He said, “I am grateful and proud of our nation because it is clear to me that the people made the right choice by making safety their priority throughout the majority of our festive season’s events.

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew thanked the Commissioner of Police James Sutton and his team at the St Christopher and Nevis Police Force for their work. The prime minister also thanked Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Comrie and the soldiers of the St Kitts and Nevis Defence Force.

The two national forces did the national service and were committed to keeping the peace in the country. The service of the law enforcement agency has increased the standard of the safety and security of the country.

Finally, the prime minister thanked the National Security Advisor, Dr Lionel V. Rawlins, and Special Advisor Dr Edwin Powell and staff for helping the administration in arranging one of our safest carnivals.
