St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew met the retired teachers of St Kitts and Nevis, especially the teachers who hailed from the Parliamentary Constituency 8. St Kitts and Nevis joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Teachers Day.
The worldwide commemoration inspired PM Drew to visit the former teachers of the community. The teachers have helped many generations of St Kitts and Nevis achieve the dreams that theey have for their futures.
PM Drew highlighted that he took the opportunity to personally thank the teachers for their dedicated service. He took to his social media account to share his experience in social media. The officials have shared that it is the responsibility of the leaders to constantly honor the teachers and educators of the nation.
He highlighted that he visited Venessa Clarke of St. Peter’s as a part of his visits for the World Teachers Day. The other teachers that he met are including Ms Halliday of Conaree community, Mr. Grant of Keys Village and Wilson (Nisbett) of Cayon community
PM Terrance Drew recalled that he understands the role that the teachers play in the development of the nation and their students. He said that the members of the community have the responsibility to keep supporting the teachers who have worked hard to make the nation a better place for everyone.
He also highlighted that he has been a teacher in St Kitts for two years in the beginning of his career. As such he has experienced the duties and responsibility of teachers. In honour of their commitment and dedication, he gave all the teachers he visited gifts and goods bags.
He was welcomed into all the houses he visited with excitement and warmth. He appreciated the teachers, saying that, “I extend the deepest gratitude for your invaluable contributions” he said, extending the wishes on the behalf of the whole nation.
The people applauded PM Terrance Drew for making the visit. One of the locals commented, “Thank you, Prime Minister, for always standing by the people who work hard to make our country better.”
