South Africa: On Tuesday, the 31st of January 2023, many years of outstanding efforts from three SA Army Senior Officers, Brigadier General Henrich Juan Stroebel, Brigadier General Willbrod Mazibuko and Brigadier General Godfrey Thulare, paid off handsomely as they were preparing to take over new roles.
The vision- orientated Senior Officers were over the moon following the latest developments in their respective military careers, and it had not yet sunk in even when they left the highest of the Landward Force where the Chief of the SA Army, Lieutenant General Lawrence Khulekani Mbatha had bestowed them with new ranks.
For the trio, these new ranks come with new roles, which will see them undertaking an arduous trek to their new areas of responsibilities which will see them playing more active roles in the SA Army, the SANDF, the country and the continent at large.
Brigadier General Stroebel cut his military teeth at the now defunct South African Coloured Corp, and this was followed by a stint 16 Maintenance after undergoing his leadership training at the school of logistics. Another feather was added to his cap when he was elevated to the substantive rank of Major General on Tuesday, the 31st of January, 2023.
He was born in Oudtshoorn, in the Western Cape Western and started his elementary schooling at Anderson Primary School and later progressed to Ocean View Secondary School.
Brigadier General Willbrod Mazibuko was also among those who walked briskly into the office of the number one citizen of the SA Army, where he was bestowed with the rank of a Major General.
The Eastern Cape-born Military Commander’s military journey dates back to 1985, and he served in various units with the evangelical zeal that saw him rising through the ranks.
Brigadier General Godfrey Thulare’s deep-seated passion for the Military and his determination, hard work dedication also did not go unnoticed as he was also promoted to the substantive rank level of a Major General. The East Rand-born Military Commander also served in various Units, which saw him rise through the ranks.
Major General T.E Mulaudzi, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding of Army Support Formation, was also showered with congratulations by the number one citizen of the South African Army Landward Force.
The Chief of the SA Army, Lieutenant General Lawrence Khulekani Mbatha, congratulated the newly promoted SA Army Senior Officers and cautioned them to continue to serve the SA Army in the most properly seasoned way.
