KZN, South Africa: The members of the Reaction Unit of South Africa travelled to the Parkgate Primary School in Parkgate – KZN. Nine Hundred (900) pupils and twenty three (23) Educators from the primary school were present in the grounds to welcome the team of RUSA. They witnessed the landing of the RUSA Robinson R44 Helicopter at their school at 11:00 Thursday, November 2, 2023.
The social media account of the RUSA (Reaction Unit South Africa) has shared some glimpses from the visit on their social media. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was invited by Life Orientation Educator Miss Melinda Moodley to attend their Career Day function. Reaction Officers & RUSA Paramedics were also in attendance.
During the event, the children of the primary school were given the opportunity to learn about the various career paths available to the children. The members of the Reactions Unit South Africa held several significant and fruitful discussions with the students. At their young age, the children were given the insights into their future goals.
The children were addressed on careers in Crime Fighting & Aviation. Afterwards, the students also got the chance to see aircraft up close. The students enjoyed their experience with the reactions unit and learned about their role in maintaining peace and stability within the country
During the career day celebration, the grade 7 learners were dressed as Doctors, Construction Employees, Police Officers, Healthcare Workers and Attorneys. The Reaction Unit also shared a sweet image of one child dressed as a RUSA Member with Pilot Prem Balram.
The people on the social media were delighted to see the members of the RUSA engaging with the students of the primary school. They applauded the team for taking the initiative and also invited the team to visit some other schools in the area.
The Reaction Unit is highly respected and regarded within the people of KZN. Especially, the children love the RUSA for their involvement in maintaining peace in the community.
