St Kitts and Nevis' Prime Minister, Dr Terrance M. Drew, travelled to Washington D.C. with a delegation from the country, which included Ms Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, and Mrs Versilie Francis, Director of Fiscal Affairs and Policy in the Ministry of Finance, for the World Bank Spring Meetings in 2023.

St Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, Dr Terrance M. Drew, travelled to Washington D.C. with a delegation from the country, which included Ms Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, and Mrs Versilie Francis, Director of Fiscal Affairs and Policy in the Ministry of Finance, for the World Bank Spring Meetings in 2023.

As per the reports, the activities for the year are being held in Washington, DC, from April 10 to 16, 2023. The motive of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the Board of Governors is to bring together central bankers as well as the ministers of finance and development, business executives, members of civil society organizations, and legislators. The aim is to discuss the world economy, economic development, and the efficacy of aid in the fight against poverty.

The Press Conferences, Seminars, Regional briefings, and several other events which are going to be held in Washington, DC, are dedicated to the global economy, the financial system of the country and international development.

On his social media, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew said that he is going to host the Diaspora Meeting with Kittitian and Nevisian nationals who are currently living in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area, and this meeting is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The meeting will be held at St Kitts and Nevis Embassy, 3216 New Mexico Ave NW, Washington, D.C. He also said he will also travel to Trinidad and Tobago for the Regional Symposium on “Violence as a Public Health Issue – The Crime Challenge” accompanied by Prime Minister’s Office and Permanent Secretary Ms Naeemah Hazelle; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Sharon Archibald; permanent Secretary, National Security, Ms Cecile Hull; and Adviser, Ministry of Health, Dr Patrick Martin.

Moreover, PM Terrance Drew also announced that Konris Maynard will be the Acting Prime Minister in my absence.
