St Kitts: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew wished the people of the country on the festive season. He joined the members of his government in extending the greetings of the Christmas and New Year.
He shared the wishes on his social media, his message repeated the government’s commitment to becoming a sustainable island state. Sustainable development for the country has been one of the most sought after mandates of the Drew led administration.
The leader of the ruling national party of St Kitts and Nevis, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, hoped that the people would enjoy the festive season. He hoped in his message that people will enjoy the christmas season and it will be filled with warmth and goodwill.
He further hoped that the Christmas and New Year season would inspire the people of the country to embrace sustainability. The Prime Minister has been working diligently towards ensuring a sustainable and bright future for the country.
In his Christmas message, he reminded the Kittitians and Nevisians that the island state strives to lead by example. Together, he asked the people to work towards a greener and brighter future for St Kitts and Nevis.
He has introduced several important initiatives to make the festive season more enjoyable for the people of the country. One of the steps that the administration of the twin island federation is the payment of Christmas bonuses.
Christmas is a major festival for the nation and brings people from different communities together to celebrate. To add to the festival spirit the government under Dr Terrance Drew announced worker’s bonus, amounting to EC $500 for all non civil servants.
Many non-civil servants have already received their festive bonus, while the government is on a mission to ensure that the rest also receive their due as quickly as possible.
In this regard, the people of St Kitts and Nevis applauded the government for thinking about the wellbeing of the people.
