Malawi: The Global Director for Study West Education Services Jarad Ceely, has highlighted the importance of the Study West program saying the programs that they offer are significant to compete in the global market.
The launch of the Study West program was hosted at the at Capital Hotel in Lilongwe. During the event Ceely reflected on some of the key points of the program.
He said they are working on the teachers training in the school curriculum that is offered by the west program and also the localization of the curriculum to the local country in which it’s going to be developed.
“So, for example Malawi can give students the chance to perform at different ends within the school curriculum.
“So we all believe that students learn at different paces and different times and that everyone deserves a chance, not just an exam to determine how their final results will be,” he said.
Ceely also added that the delivery of the curriculum will ensure that it reaches every Malawian and any students so that they can benefit from different methodologies of teaching and the different methodologies of examination and assessment.
” In Australia, we welcome all international students to make the application with Study West to let us get you admission into a high school, let us get you admission into a college or university, let us help you apply for the student visa, Australia does not discriminate and every Malawian is welcome to apply and try their chances to come to study overseas,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jessie Kabwira Minister of Higher Education, announced that that the government is interested in the program since the leadership’s mandate is to strengthen the capacity to have collaborations, and also it will help to speak to human capital enablers.
“It is going to increase the number of people who are skilled in higher educationhigher education, and they are looking at even construction work so technical is also there.
“The opportunity here is that you see that there is inclusivity, there is innovation, there is entrepreneurship, and it is all based on education,” she said.
