Zambia: Minister of Health, Sylvia Masebo has extended her hartfelt cogratukations to Dr Mazyanga Lucy Mazaba Liwewe. Dr Mazaba has been appointed as the Regional Director of the Africa CDC Regional Coordinating Center for East Africa
The Zambia based medical expert will be working out of Nairobi, Kenya for the African Center for Disease control. The members of the healthcare fraternity have also come forward to extend their best wishes to to Dr Mazyanga Lucy Mazaba Liwewe.
The newly appointed Regional Director of the Africa CDC Regional Coordinating Center for East Africa has served the healthcare sector of Zambia in several capacities. She has been working hard to constantly improv the healthcare facilities within the country.
The congratulatory message from Minister of health is meaningful as Masebo is also the Chairperson of Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC.
She highlighted that she was very happy about the appointment of Mazyanga to the prestigious role. She claimed that the appointment was a proof of her outstanding contributions, dedication, and expertise in the field of Public Health.
The Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo has also shared some important details about the career and accomplishment of Dr Mazyanga Lucy Mazaba Liwewe. Prior to her appointment to her new role,  Liwewe served as Director of Public Health Policy and Health Diplomacy at ZNPHI.
The members of her team at the  Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI) have also praised her and wished her the best for her new role.
Masebo said Mazyanga had a vast experience, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to health policy, diplomacy, partnerships and strategic communication. Her qualities have consistently demonstrated her capability to lead and inspire the people under her charge
She expressed confidence that Mazyanga’s will be an invaluable asset to the Africa CDC and will contribute significantly to the advancement of public health initiatives across the East Africa region and the global arena.
