India, New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome in Papua New Guinea on Sunday when he arrived in the country to host the third summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC).
Mehul Choksi, who is responsible for a massive $2 billion fraud against India's PNB bank, is now using his fraudulently acquired funds to delay his extradition from Antigua and Barbuda. Continuing his deceptive streak, Choksi has been deploying his financial resources to escape the consequences of his actions in India.

India: On Monday, India showed its commitment to aiding Sri Lanka's financial recovery by being the first nation to hand a letter of support to the International Monetary Fund in order to facilitate financing and debt restructuring. India has been offering assistance since 2022 when it gave Colombo a total of $4.5 billion.
