Kenya: Kenya Forest Service (KFS) seeks to make a clarification on an article appearing in a section of the press alleging the Government intends to give out 60,000 hectares of the Mau Forest Complex to Initiatives for Sustainable Landscapes (ISLA) Project funded by Dutch firm IDH.
Kenya: Kenya Forest Service yesterday launched Participatory Forest Management Plans (PFMP) and signed a Forest Management Agreement (FMA) with the Gede Arabuko Community Forest Association for the management of Gede, Sokoke and Jilore Forest Blocks of Arabuko Sokoke Forest.
Kenya: The CCF Alex Lemarkoko this morning presided over the launch of Participatory Forest Management Plans (PFMP) and the signing of Forest Management Agreements (FMA) of Ngong’ Hills Metro Community Forest Association (CFA) at the KFS headquarters in an event attended by all the officials of the CFA led by their Chairman, Samson Kereya.
Kenya: The Service has today launched three Participatory Forest Management Plans (PFMPs) and signed Forest Management Agreements with forest-adjacent communities from Pongwe-Kidimu, Mrima and Marenje Community Forest Associations (CFAs) in an event presided over by Dr Elizabeth Wambugu the Principal, Kenya Forestry College ( representing the Ag. Chief Conservator of Forests) and Lunga Lunga Member of Parliament Hon. Mangale Chiforomodo at Mirima Primary School in Kwale County.
Kenya: Yesterday marked the launch of two Participatory Forest Management Plans (PFMP) and the signing of two Forest Management Agreements in Lamu, presided over by Deputy CCF Mr Peter Nduati, representing the Chief Conservator of Forests.
