Mauritius: A total of 15 women of the North-East coastal region received certificates yesterday evening after following a 24-month training on Empowering Coastal Communities through Native Oyster Aquaculture.
Dominica: Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, received a courtesy call from UN Resident Coordinator for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Didier Trebucq. He paid his visit on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
Mauritius: Les Assises de l’entrepreneuriat, organised by the Ministry of Industrial Development, SMEs and Cooperatives in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) of Mauritius and Seychelles on 15 and 16 March 2023, kicked off this morning at the Caudan Arts Centre in Port Louis.
Mauritius: The Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, proceeded with the inauguration of a training farm in aquaponics and hydroponics as well as a solar water drip today at the Mauritius Prison Service (MPS) in Beau Bassin. These aim to facilitate women prisoners' transition and reintegration from prisons into the community. An exhibition on the creative works of the prisoners was also held on the occasion.
Kenya: The CS Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Soipan Tuya have presided over the launch of the Kakamega Forest Fence Project. The forest's 117km perimeter that traverses both Kakamega and Vihiga Counties will be installed with an electric fence.
