The Tonota District authorities have been calling on the people of the country to buy bricks for the construction projects from locals.

Botswana: The Tonota District authorities have been calling on the people of the country to buy bricks for construction projects from local producers. The brick production is a part of the Poverty Alleviation and Housing Project that is currently active in the district.

The brick production project is being hosted by the Council Procurement/Supplies offices. The people of the country shared that the project will benefit the people of the district.

The District Council took to their social media account to invite people of the country to buy the bricks. The authorities have confirmed that the bricks are extremely strong and will add to the beauty of any new constructions.

Further, the bricks are available in three varieties including:

6 Inch blocks

4-1/2 Inch blocks

Stock Bricks

The sale of the bricks will be made available for interested parties across the country. The people of Tonota District will be given free delivery of the bricks. The authorities further explained that the high quality bricks were made of crusher dust.

The prices of each variety of the bricks have been specified as follows:

6 Inch blocks: P 8.50

4-1/2 Inch blocks: P 7.50

Stock Bricks: P 1.50

The authorities of the district council are confident of the superior quality of the bricks. The people of the country have shared their delight on the progress of the project.

The Tonota District Council SHHA Committee toured the production site of the bricks recently. The team shared that the project is ongoing at a satisfactory phase.
