‘Trey Nyoni’ youngest new soccer player in Liverpool FC

The young soccer player has represented England at the junior ranks but he can switch his allegiance to Zimbabwe in future.

Zimbabwe: Trey Nyoni has made his debut as a football player for the Liverpool Football Club. The young player of age 16 played his first match against Southampton Football Club.

Reportedly, Nyoni replaced player Harvey Elliot in the 77th minute. Liverpool won by scoring 3 goals against the rival team.   

At the age of sixteen Trey Nyoni has become the youngest ever player to play in the English football club and has also become the youngest ever Liverpool player to feature in a Cup Game, on Wednesday.

The young soccer player has represented England at the junior ranks but he can switch his allegiance to Zimbabwe in the future, said the optimistic ‘armchair’ Zimbabwean pundits.

As per the sources, after being promoted to the under 21st in early November, the teenager was called up by Jurgen Klopp for their Premier League game, played against Brentford.

Later on, after waiting for months Nyoni decided to play for Liverpool. The nation, Zimbabwe is proud of him as he is an inspiration to many amateur footballers across the world.

Many people have extended their greetings and supported the player for his embarkment as a soccer player.

A social media user, Wiseman Ntini commented, “Congratulations to you and your entire team, my advice to you son is, proudly Zimbabwean but don’t ever dare to play for Warrior’s team in future, they’re no stadium at all and the economy is dead.”

But Ntini advised him to visit the tourist spots, “but always visit Victoria falls, sharewater, game drive, elephants ride, river cruises and hotels for tourism and so many activities that are done in that resort city.”

Another person named Mel Mbewe supported the player and wrote, “Congratulations Nyoni, word of advice to stay away from people who will want to wrap stuff around your neck and focus on getting into the team.”

Another person Tawanda Marume wrote, “Congratulations Nyoni I wish you the best in your career proudly Zimbabwean.”

Brian Muyengwa commented, “The youngest ever to feature in a cup game are Jerome Sinclair and Harvey Elliot, Trey is the third youngest to feature in a cup game The League Cup.”
