Mauritius: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dr. Dmytro Kuleba, has arrived in Mauritius for a two-day official visit. During the visit, the Minister of Foreign affairs is expected to meet and interact with several members of the Mauritian Administration.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs was welcomed by his Mauritian counterpart, Maneesh Gobin, on Wednesday 7 August 2024. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and International Trade welcomed Dr Kuleba at the SSR International Airport.
The two leaders have already held a welcome meeting, the glimpses from which the government of Mauritius shared on their social media, The officials have shared that the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Ukraine was accompanied by a delegation of high level government officials.
The visit of Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba to Mauritius is part of a diplomatic tour to Africa. He will be meeting several high-level government officials of Mauritius. The delegation accompanying the Minister also includes the Ambassador of Ukraine to South Africa, Liubov Abravitova.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Mauritius and Ukraine. The officials have shared that the visit will move on to other nations in the African Continent. The officials have shared that it is important for Ukraine and Mauritius to discuss issues of mutual concern.
The meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs will also address the involvement of Mauritius and African states in global efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in Ukraine and worldwide. The officials have shared that the members of the community.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth, on Wednesday. The first day of the meetings will feature several crucial meetings between the Ukrainian guests and Mauritius government.
The officials have shared that the Prime Minister of Mauritius will also hold bilateral discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade on Thursday, and will engage with other stakeholders.
