United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – (UNHCR) ,a UN Refugee Agency, is finally taking the initiative in order to protect people who are forced to escape wars and persecution around the world, and providing them with life-saving help in which shelter is included along with that food and water is also part of the agency, and some basic safety, rights and dignity.
As per the statement of UNHCR, with 17,878 women and men working in 132 countries, we work tirelessly to make a contrast in the lives of 82.4 million people who were forced to leave their homes.
According to the UNHCR, “Our dedicated and highly professional staff is working hard around the clock in roles including legal protection, community services, public affairs, health and many more. However, my staff still faced so many hurdles, but they always work proudly for UNHCR and are very determined to make a positive impact.”

Disability inclusion:
They further said if any person faces any kind of disability and face technical challenges during the recruitment process. They also said they could directly contact them, and they will provide the best help to them, and they also provided an email box which is optional and will be treated strictly confidentially.
Measures for types of requests:
- ‘I have filled the position of HR Officer, broadcasted in Iran, and I would like to let you know that I will require sign language performance for potential discussions.’
- ‘Furthermore, I attempted to apply for the Protection Officer position broadcasted on the website. I have a visible impairment, so I would thank the team of UNHCR for help with filling in the application form.’
- ‘I have restricted mobility, and I want to apply for a position in Juba. Is the office wheelchair-friendly?’
Adjustments for candidates with disable people will be provided as best as possible. As needed upon request, will ensure all candidates based on meeting the conditions for each vacancy in relation to knowledge, talents, and education.
At the end of the interviews, UNHCR stated that because of the large number of e-mails they received, that is why they can only respond to queries related to the applications that refer to the particular job openings or talent pool profiles from candidates who are disabled.
